Alexander McQueen, one of our time’s most influential and celebrated fashion designers, was known for his boundary-pushing collections and daring runway shows.

In 1969, McQueen began his career in London as an apprentice on Savile Row. He later studied at Central Saint Martins, where he developed a talent for tailoring and a love for the avant-garde. After graduating in 1992, he launched his eponymous label, quickly gaining attention for his dramatic designs.

In 1996, he joined Givenchy as Creative Director, where he continued to push the boundaries of fashion. In 2010, following McQueen’s untimely death, Sarah Burton took over as Creative Director and continued to build on his legacy. McQueen’s designs are now celebrated for their mix of traditional craftsmanship and modern references, making him the most influential designer of our time.
