Léon Breitling was a Swiss watchmaker who founded his eponymous brand in 1884. He was a skilled craftsman who quickly gained a reputation for making high-quality chronographs. In 1915, he debuted the world’s first wrist chronograph, which was immediately embraced by the military and aviation communities.
